Since the introduction of round bales and more importantly large square bales, most of today’s straw and hay is baled into larger packages. However, for a number of farming and leisure related activities, small rectangular bales are still the ideal solution. They can be handled manually and high quality fodder used in the equine industry is very well conserved in small rectangular bales. New Holland, historically the first brand in small rectangular balers, today offers two new models that have the right features for your hay and straw operations.
A LEGACY OF INNOVATION - The Hayliner® name proudly returns across all models—fusing this legendary name, time-tested performance, and reliability with modern styling.
DEPENDABLE DRIVELINE - From the Power-Pivot joint that minimizes driveline wear and chatter to the Category 6 driveline, 248-pound direct-drive flywheel, and high-capacity hypoid gear drive gearbox, the Hayliner Series offers reliable power transfer for robust performance.
BIG CAPACITY FOR SMALL BALES - The durable rotary feeding system provides smooth and even crop flow, while the powerful plunger runs at 93 strokes per minute to handle big windrows at impressive speeds.
CONFIDENCE IN THE POWER TRANSFER
Producing high-quality bales consistently, day after day and season after season, demands robust and reliable driveline components. The dimensions of the shafts, chains, and gears, along with the high-quality steel used in their construction, are a testament to New Holland's craftsmanship and extensive experience. To minimize stress on critical functional components, the overall baler design includes a drawbar that is directly connected to the baler axle. Additionally, the innovative "power pivot support" for the three-joint PTO enables sharp turns while maintaining maximum safety.
CLEAN FIELDS
The efficient Super Sweep™ pick-up on the BC5000 balers is designed to gather crops with precision, whether it's short straw left behind by a large combine harvester or delicate, field-dried hay leaves. This system ensures that even the smallest and most challenging materials are collected with ease. Key features include curved tines, close tine spacing, flanged tine guards, and an effective floating wind-guard, all of which contribute to a swift and clean pick-up action.
EQUAL BALES MADE FOR EASY STACKING
Compact bales created with equal wads are not only easy to handle but also maintain their shape over extended periods. The exclusive New Holland rotary feeder system, which utilizes feeder rotors and a packer fork, ensures gentle handling of the crop while maintaining a steady crop flow. This system contributes to the production of high-quality bales. The consistency of bale length is guaranteed by the optimal placement of the metering wheel, and adjustments to the bale length can be easily made by modifying the trip-stop length on the bale metering arm.
PROVEN OVERALL STRENGTH
You can rely on the knotter accuracy, knot after knot, season after season. The use of hard-surface materials prevents wear on the driving gears, ensuring sustained accuracy throughout the long life of your baler. The robust plunger is guided straight even after extensive use, thanks to the combination of sealed roller bearings and high-strength steel slides, which also make adjustments quick and easy.
STILL LEADING THE WAY
New Holland was the first brand to fit an automatic tying knotter on a baler, revolutionizing the industry by making baling a one-man field operation. This groundbreaking innovation laid the foundation for the company's success. Since that major introduction, New Holland has sold over 900,000 small rectangular balers worldwide, manufactured in factories across America, Europe, and Australia. This baler became the cornerstone of the success story for what is now the world’s largest harvester manufacturer.
